The Mumbai Cricket Association's (MCA) plans to hold Ranji Trophy games at the new Wankhede Stadium took a back seat after delay in construction work at the showcase venue, one which will host the World Cup final on April 2. Mumbai were scheduled to play their Ranji Trophy game against Assam on November 24 at the newly-constructed stadium.
